So thankful that Hope is louder and stronger than darkness. (There might be triggers in this book for some folks: gang rape, war, abuse, neglect.) Interspersed with statistics of hard things, there were true stories of rising up, discovering a voice and a community and global platform, and sometimes women literally walking again after receiving medical care and loving help. There were practical ways we can get involved, like sponsoring microloans. I'm glad my library had this one--it wasn't a light, easy read, but it was pivotal.
