Prayer-Walking Evening #23

It was a clear night with a bright fingernail moon and we were on the march! Another prayer walk around Korinbo and Katamachi here in Kanazawa, and this time with Bridget and a new friend, Maeva from France.

Maeva will be here for one year working in missions at Hope House, the church we go to, and we're so excited to have her. She brings a sweetness and encouragement with her smile and deep spirit of peace. Welcome, Maeva!

Our lovely friend Bridget will be returning to Kenya in March, and she's just turned her dissertation in this week and will give her defense soon. Well done, Bridget--we're praying for you and we'll miss you and your intrepid heart and faith!

We prayed Psalm 147 over this area, including verse 3: "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." And Maeva mentioned that it feels like the Jericho story to her, especially after I mentioned my vision from months ago about the big gray jail-like building full of dodgy bars imploding in on itself. (And one time after that, Nikka had a similar vision of that building falling down. I think it's spiritual--the forces of darkness will not win.)

(Nikka and Yuki were both home and not feeling 100%. I hope they can join with us again next time.)

And as usual, we sang "Bind Us Together" at the end, holding hands in the car before I dropped Bridget and Maeva off. I'm so grateful that we are bound together as sisters in the Lord and in prayer.

Maeva didn't know there was human trafficking in Japan at all, as most people don't. On the surface, Japan looks harmonious and completely safe, full of beautiful people and cultural sites. My Japanese friends are surprised when I tell them that yes, this goes on in their own country. If you, like so many Japanese folks and newcomers, too, don't know about the trafficking that goes on here, please check out the Not For Sale Japan website here, and please pray with us for freedom.
