Prayer-Walking Evening #25: Bonus (My Friend Julie) + Bridget's Last Walk with Us + Michael's First Walk with Us

What a wonderful evening it was two weeks ago on a Saturday night! It was our 25th walk, plus we had my friend Julie visiting from Kumamoto on the island of Kyushu (and now she wants to start prayer walking in Kumamoto!!!). In addition, it was special because it was Bridget's last prayer walk with us as she has finished up her virus research at Kanazawa University and is headed back to continue doing great things in her home country of Kenya. Plus it was Michael's first night with us.  Welcome, Michael!

See that mask on the red guy? One of our boys had put it on there earlier in the day and it was still there six hours later.

We even met a character guy walking around that we got to hang out with. God bless the person inside!

We did a deep dive into prayer together, spending a good amount of time in each place we stopped, praying, singing, and chatting together. One song that we sang aloud together in front of a tall building full of dodgy bars is a song in Japanese (originally from Korea) about how we were born to be loved. Have a listen here if you like.

We also saw more of these "Happy Job" magazine advertisements, telling girls where they can find work (in dodgy places, of course). We each took one to pray over, and we hid some behind some other city/restaurant advertisement magazines.

It's been so wonderful having Bridget on our walks with us, and especially having her as our friend. God truly has answered her prayers for someone to take her place, as since she started praying specifically for this we've had Maeva from France arrive and also Michael join in as well.

Bridget will fly out tomorrow back to Kenya, so I ask God's blessings on her in her next stage of life and career, blessings of health on her and her family, and blessings for safe travel.

I'm also so grateful that Julie and her husband Chuck were able to visit us in Kanazawa a couple weeks ago and to share life together with us for five days. It was a beautiful time with them.

Now with COVID-19 on the prowl, we have even more to pray about these days. May God give us extra measures of hope in just the moments that we need them. I'm so grateful that he knows what we need before we even know to ask.
