Prayer-Walking Evening #26: Long Time No Walk!

It's been four months since our last prayer walk! We've done a couple prayer Zooms and I've done a Not for Sale Japan Zoom meeting as well in the interim, but it was so nice to start actually getting out and walking again here in Kanazawa. Last night all of us were able to make it--from left to right: me, Maeva, Yuki, Michael, and Nikka. We represent four different countries: France, the US, Japan, and the Philippines.

The entertainment area was pretty busy, actually. Nikka prayed for boldness, courage, and for God to bring people our way. She also asked God to be the light to our feet. We prayed for freedom in Christ, and for anyone broken to be made whole. Please, Lord, end the evil of human trafficking.

I was able to give one guy a "Father's Love Letter" in Japanese. He seemed like an unusual and lonely man--he was sitting on a curb with his guitar, but he wasn't playing. Rather, he was jumping up and chasing people down to ask them if they would be in photos with him (on his phone). When he asked us, I thought it was just because we looked unusual and foreign, but I noticed that he was asking loads of people, mostly Japanese. (There aren't many foreigners in our city right now who don't live here, and we mainly just saw Japanese folks last night.) Anyway, Michael agreed to be in a photo with him, but most people around us were saying no. I asked him if he'd like a "Father's Love Letter," and he promptly sat back down on the curb and started reading it. I pray that God touches his heart through it, and that God will be his friend and Father.

So we walked, prayed, watched, encouraged, listened, and paused. When I dropped the ladies off (Michael had ridden his bicycle), we sang the song that Bridget used to lead us in at the end of our prayer nights: "Bind Us Together, Lord." This is our prayer too.

Here are the lyrics:

Bind us together, Lord, bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together,
Bind us together with love.

There is only one God,
There is only one King;
There is only one Body,
That is why we sing:

Bind us together, Lord, bind us together
With cords that cannot be broken.
Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together,
Bind us together with love.
