(Unplanned) Prayer Driving

Unplanned prayer while driving!

We had a lovely afternoon at a concert hall in Fukui, hosted by the Fukui Free Christ Church for their 70th church anniversary. Ruah Worship, a young Christian worship group comprised of a brother and two sisters (and a new baby for Marian plus a second one on the way for Erika!) plus an outstanding pianist named Gideon Lim from Singapore. There was also a local gospel choir group who sang at the beginning and then sang a song together with Ruah at the end.

It was a fantastic time of worship and fun, celebration and partying with Jesus and a bunch of other believers and NEW believers! Ruah interspersed the gospel message through the whole concert and even gave an altar call (raise of hands with eyes closed) at the end.

And Michael, Stephen, and I had an encouraging prayer time together in the car on the way back to Kanazawa. An unexpected gift.

If you've never listened to Ruah's music, please look them up. It's even more encouraging to go to one of their concerts or to hear their music on YouTube or Spotify knowing that the Christian population in Japan is aging and these are young people who really shine with Jesus' life.
