Trafficking in Mongolia

The Telegraph had this article about prostitution and sex trafficking in Mongolia the other day. It's very hard for women to escape because of the shame they will bring on their families, so they can't even tell the police or anyone when they are beaten or have injuries (some of these injuries even come from the police). They feel trapped.

But one safe house, Talita, in Ulaanbaatar, is helping women escape and recuperate, four at a time (they have four beds). Now if only the Mongolian government wouldn't continue to cut funding for these safe houses.
