It was a lovely evening for a prayer walk together---summer, but breezes blowing through. We prayed through Naga-machi, the old samurai district, thanking God for the canals bringing quiet clear water through the town, asking God to send His Holy Spirit to flow through our hearts and the hearts of those in that area.
The streets in Katamachi and Kohrinbo were very, very quiet. It looks like a number of restaurants have gone under, and it was unclear how many dodgy bars are still going or not. We prayed for God to restore what the locusts have stolen with this pandemic, and that people would have good options for jobs and not have to go into work in these hostess bars.
We prayed for blessings on the folks of Kanazawa! There's a church in the area called Naga-machi Christian Church that we stopped in front of and prayed for as well, that they would be a city on a hill, shining light into the heart of darkness around them.
Please continue to pray as COVID numbers are going up again in our prefecture, and especially in these hostess bars. Half of the new cases and clusters are related to these bars in Katamachi.
