Prayer-Walking Time #50: YWAM + Hope House Neighborhood

A YWAM (Youth With a Mission) team of eight people is currently staying near Hope House and helping out at HH plus a few different other churches around Kanazawa. It was an honor to arrange a prayer walk with them around the Hope House neighborhood last night before the English Cafe started up. And it was a delight to meet them all and get to know them a little bit. I know that before they leave in about 1.5 weeks from now we will hang out with them at least a couple more times (next week at English Cafe and at the Sunday service on August 4). The team is comprised of folks from Taiwan, Singapore, Japan, Canada, Italy, and the US. What a diverse group!

We started with some Romans reading (God prays for us with groanings when we don't know how to pray)---it was a good choice because their leader Jordan says they are going through Romans on this DTS (Discipleship Training School). God's leading there. Then prayer all together, and then we broke up into three groups to walk around the area and pray and chat together.

My prayer group: Yoshiki (poor guy has a cold), William from Canada, and Chandler from the US.

The team is pretty tired as this is near the end of their six-month training and outreach program. We walked slowly, prayed, had some silences, endured the heat, got to know each other a bit, and reveled in the sunset.

Thanks, team, for your time and sharing of your hearts. May God give you rest and restoration and refilling.

Romans 12:12---"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."

(Then we had hours of English Cafe afterwards! I think the cups of flavored shaved iced and several lively games pepped them up.)
