Prayer-Walking Time #57: Prefectural Building Lookout

The last time Stephen and I were at the prefectural office building's 19th floor viewing area was January 1 for the sunrise. It was after sunset tonight, and a lot fewer people, but we could do slower praying this time.

One of Kanazawa's sister cities is Irkutsk in Russia, and they had a display of photos from there. So we prayed for the folks of Irkutsk, especially as things are so volatile in Russia right now.

We prayed for Kanazawa's sports teams and young people in schools...

And the people in the big hospital across the street.

This is a model of the building we were in...

It's exhilarating and strange to look out from that tall vantage point and see so many lights, homes, condos, businesses, and cars down below, knowing that each light represents at least one person. A million people live in the greater Kanazawa area, and we all need Jesus. Some have never heard anything about him.

Lord, have mercy.

Lord, draw us all to you.

Lord, come soon.

Amen. So be it. Yes.
